Miss Universe Leila Lopes, Coming to the Philippines?

The buzz is that Miss Universe 2011, Leila Lopes of Angola, will come to the Philippines to crown the Binibining Pilipinas - Universe 2012 come the grand coronation night of Binibining Pilipinas on April 15, 2012. It has been kept a top secret as the negotiations between MUO and BPCI to bring Leila to the Philippines is going on. Although either MUO and BPCI has yet to confirm this news.

Will this push thru? Or is it just another case of hoax news being propagated by pageant fans?

But it seems pageant fans in the Philippines will not see it coming. Leila Lopes was invited to a Carnival Parade in Brazil but it was not pushed through because her appearance fee is worth $50,000. This amount is too much for the Binibining Pilipinas. Sad, sad, sad.
