Gnomeo and Juliet is an upcoming CGI animated film based on William Shakespeare‘s play Romeo and Juliet.
The film features the voices of James McAvoy, Emily Blunt, Jason Statham, Ozzy Osbourne, Michael Caine, Patrick Stewart, Matt Lucas, Stephen Merchant, Jim Cummings, with Seth Green and Seth MacFarlane. According to Box Office Mojo, the film is rated G by the MPAA, being Touchstone Pictures’ first ever G-rated film.
PLOT: The film is a retelling of Romeo and Juliet using garden Gnomes. Two rival factions of garden gnomes (red and blue) live in two adjiacent gardens. When no human is around, the gnomes come to life. Gnomeo, one of the blue gnomes, falls in love with Juliet, a member of the red faction.
